A story filed Wednesday incorrectly stated that the Texas Court of Criminal of Appeals had decided to hear an appeal by Tom DeLay on a motion seeking either dismissal of a money laundering charge against the congressman, or an immediate trial.
The court has agreed to hear arguments from the Travis County District Attorney’s Office on the merits of DeLay’s lawyers’ contention that the trial should proceed immediately. After hearing those arguments, the appeals court will decide whether to take the case.
