Needville ISD Loses Administrator To Riesel

Needville Independent School District Assistant Superintendent Steven Clugston is expected to be named superintendent of Riesel School District near Waco.

According to the Waco Tribune-Herald, Clugston was chosen as finalist on Dec. 12 to replace retiring Riesel Superintendent Ronnie Urbantke.

The Riesel board is expected to officially hire Clugston at its Jan. 4 meeting, the Waco newspaper said.

Clugston has held his current position in Needville since June 2003.

Needville ISD has been rated “recognized” by the Texas Education Agency for four of the past six years, while Needville High School has been rated “exemplary” four years straight.
