The accompanying article originally incorrectly stated that clerks in the district clerk’s office would receive pay equal to that of people doing similar work in other county offices.
Instead, commissioners court acted to put clerks in the district clerk’s
office within the same grade classification as clerks in certain other county offices. Different employees within a particular classification may be paid different salaries. Each classification calls for salaries to be paid within a set range.
