Fort Bend and Harris County police are looking for a Sugar Land-area woman and Houston man who have been missing since Sunday. Investigators believe they were victims of a car-jacking.

Maria Chrisalee “Salee” Aparece, 23, of Elder Bridge Drive near Sugar Land, had driven to Houston at about 1 a.m. on Sunday, to the 7700 block of Alperton Drive. She had driven there to deliver a set of keys to Huy Ngo, 17, who also has been missing since Sunday morning, sheriff’s investigators said.
Police say Aparece’s blue 2003 Toyota Matrix was recovered by the Humble police at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, at an apartment complex at 615 Wilson Road in Humble.

Police made the discovery during the arrest of four people they believe were involved in several robberies.
A Fort Bend County Sheriff’s spokeswoman said investigators “have reason to believe this vehicle was used in a car jacking near Mission Bend.”
The Harris County Sheriff’s Department told Click2Houston the four people arrested in Humble admitted to using Aparece’s car in a home invasion and aggravated robberies. But investigators were told the four left Aparece and Ngo safely on the side of the road.
Fort Bend investigators are working with Harris County Sheriff’s detectives, Houston police and Humble police to locate the missing couple.
Texas EquuSearch, a non-profit organization from Dickinson dedicated to finding missing persons, has also organized a search for the two, set for Friday.
EquuSearch spokeswoman Barbara Gibson said Aparece’s family contacted the organization Tuesday. She said the search probably will be concentrated in the Houston area where the pair were last seen.
Officials have hope, but are prepared for the worst. “They were doing car-jackings all over, from Austin County to Humble,” Gibson said of the four arrested where Aparece’s car was recovered. “If those kids haven’t been heard from, it doesn’t look good.”
Aparece is described as a 23-year-old Asian female, 5 feet tall, weighing 110 pounds, with brown eyes, and black hair just past her shoulders.
Ngo is described only as a 17-year-old Asian male.
Anyone with information about the missing pair is urged to call the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office at 281-341-4665.
