Oct. 2: Sugar Land Masonic Lodge Charity Golf Tournament

Sugar Land Masonic Lodge #1141 A.F. & A.M. will host its 9th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at the Sugar Creek Country Club beginning at noon on Monday, Oct. 2.

The entry fee is $125 per player with all proceeds benefiting Masonic charities, worthy brothers, widows and orphans. The honorary chairman for this event is legendary University of Houston Football Coach Bill Yeoman.

The day’s activities, sponsored by RBC Dain Rauscher, will begin with a putting contest at 12 p.m. with tournament play following at 1 p.m.

The festivities will continue with a Victory Dinner at 6:30 p.m. in the Club House featuring Ms. Texas USA Magen Ellis.

Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place, Longest Drive, Closet to the Hole, Putting Contest, Most Lost Balls, and a $5,000 cash prize for a hole-in-one sponsored by Bank of Texas.

Freemasonry is the world’s oldest and largest fraternity. Sugar Land Masonic Lodge got its start in 1920 making it the oldest charitable organization in the area.
