Street Repairs Coming Soon To Missouri City

Street repairs and maintenance in the Hunters Glen and Hunters Green areas in Missouri City begin Oct. 16, according to the city administration.

Residents of these areas, Hunters Glen I, II, III, IV and those from Hunters Green I and II, will see about a dozen Public Works Department/Street Division employees at repair locations throughout their neighborhoods.

Work by the street division in these areas will include updating road signs and replacing faded ones. Street crack-and-joint sealing along with curb, and sidewalk repair, will also be under way during this time.

Missouri City crews also will sweep streets and perform general clean-up, the city said in a prepared statement.

“In order to help the city crews perform their work, we’re asking residents to refrain from parking in the street from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. as much as possible during this work period,” said City Engineer Scott Elmer. “Having access to the repair locations is really important to the successful completion of our efforts, and we want to be able to do the best possible job.”

Residents that know of street repairs that need to be made are asked to fill out city request-for-service forms and send them to the city engineer. Forms can be obtained from City Hall, or can be printed from the city’s web site.
