Great. We are bombarded by opinions on Iraq 24/7 from every liberal who actually believes that the rest of the world is ready for a Star Trek inspired utopia. Now with a local election that has serious implications about our everyday quality of life we have some local joker lamenting that politicians aren’t exhuming the dead horse, putting together a clay restoration, and proping it up so we can beat it some more.
Why don’t we center on the fact that we are a fairly wealthy area: one party (Republicans) advocate economic and social programs that are an advantage for us; the other party (Democrats) caters to the fringe of society that we pull over and escort out of our neighborhoods, show up in our police reports, or move to the heights so they can have their same sex marriages, drink too much and feel morally superior to "drones" like us who are married, work, have kids and actually contribute to society.
