Democrat officials and activists have charged that three signs that read “Want Higher Taxes? Vote Democrat”, “Want More Illegals Vote Democrat”, “Encourage Terrorists, Vote Democrat” are racist, criminal, offensive, and obscene.

Ask yourself:
1) What is racist or criminal about wanting Americans to keep more of their money so our economy remains strong rather than pay higher taxes?

2) What is racist or criminal about wanting to protect our borders to ensure the security of our homeland and defend our national sovereignty?

3) What is racist or criminal about wanting a strong military actively engaged in fighting the War on Terror abroad to prevent a possible terrorist attack on our country and in our area, which is a prime target because of the refineries, NASA, and Ellington Field and high population?

It is not possible to get an entire speech on a 4’ X 8’ sign that people driving by at 45 mph can read. By necessity, the message must be short and to the point. Pointed messages often anger some, especially when they hit a sensitive spot. My signs pointed out truths that the Democrats would rather suppress, ergo their hysteria.

If Nick Lampson is elected and the Democrats capture the House, Nancy Pelosi becomes Speaker and Representative Charlie Rangel becomes Chairman of Ways & Means Committee (the committee that originates spending and tax bills).

If the Democrats capture the Senate, Harry Reid becomes Senate Majority Leader.

Rangel said that he could not support even one of the Bush tax cuts. If Congress does not pass legislation to renew and extend the Bush tax cuts, taxes on all Americans will automatically rise. Reid, Pelosi, and Rangel will not allow a vote on such legislation.

Various interest groups rate each U.S. Senator and Representative based on their overall voting record, 100% being ideal for that particular interest group.

Following are samples:
FreedomWorks, which advocates for lower taxes and less government ranks Reid at 0%, Pelosi at 6%, Rangel at 12%, Nick Lampson at 5%.

National Taxpayers Union, which advocates for lower taxes, ranks Reid at 5%, Pelosi at 11%, Rangel at 15%, and Nick Lampson at 14%.

Americans for Tax Reform ranks Reid at 5%, Pelosi and Rangel at 8%, Nick Lampson at 10%.

Bottom line – if Democrats take over either house of Congress taxes will rise.

If Pelosi becomes Speaker, Representative Sheila Jackson Lee becomes Chair of the Subcommittee on Immigration. Jackson Lee introduced legislation to grant amnesty to illegals. She and Pelosi voted against a fence and more law enforcement on the border.

Federation for Immigration Reform, which advocates for secure borders ranks Reid, Pelosi, Jackson Lee and Nick Lampson at 0%.

Americans for Better Immigration ranks Reid at 14%, Pelosi at 0%, Jackson Lee at 8%, and Nick Lampson at 20%.

U.S. Border Control ranks Pelosi and Jackson Lee at 0%, and Nick Lampson at 10%.

Bottom line – if Democrats take over either House of Congress our borders will not be secured and we will have more illegals enter this county. Some of whom may be terrorists. The security of our homeland would then be compromised.

Are terrorists encouraged by the possibility of a Democrat win?

According to a Nov. 2, 2006 article by Aaron Klein in WorldNetDaily, who interviewed a number of terrorist leaders,

Very proud from the great successes of the Iraqi resistance. This success that brought the big superpower of the world to discuss a possible withdrawal.’

Abu Abdullah, a leader of Hamas’ military wing in the Gaza Strip, and one of the most important operational members of Hamas’ Izzedine al-Qassam Martyrs Brigades said the policy of withdrawal ‘proves the strategy of the resistance is the right strategy against the occupation. Their agents in the [Iraqi] regime seem to have no chance to survive if the Americans withdraw.’

Abu Ayman, an Islamic Jihad leader in Jenin, said he is ‘emboldened’ by those in America who compare the war in Iraq to Vietnam. ‘The mujahedeen fighters brought the Americans to speak for the first time seriously and sincerely that Iraq is becoming a new Vietnam and that they should fix a schedule for their withdrawal from Iraq.’

In a recent interview with CBS’s “60 Minutes,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, stated, ‘The jihadists (are) in Iraq. But that doesn’t mean we stay there. They’ll stay there as long as we’re there’. Islamic Jihad’s Saadi, laughing, stated, ‘There is no chance that the resistance will stop.’

Jihad Jaara said an American withdrawal would ‘mark the beginning of the collapse of this tyrant empire (America). Therefore, a victory in Iraq would be a greater defeat for America than in Vietnam.’

Jaara said vacating Iraq would also ‘reinforce Palestinian resistance organizations, especially from the moral point of view. But, we also learn from these (insurgency) movements militarily. We look and learn from them’….”

If Democrats do not like the terrorist leaders’ message that terrorists are encouraged by voters voting for Democrats and the terrorists want Democrats to win, they should not attack the messenger they should convince the Democrat leadership to abandon its “cut and run” strategy for the War on Terror.
