Rosenberg has created a new system designed to better assist citizens with questions, concerns and complaints, City Manager Jack Hamlett announced.
City management identified the need to have one staff member knowledgeable in city workings assigned to address citizen inquiries. This initiative will allow citizens the opportunity to contact one person in the city for assistance on various issues. Citizens will no longer have to locate the answer independently.
The coordinator, Danielle Guntle, is located at City Hall and is the link between the citizen, City Hall, and all city departments. She will untangle, filter, and route inquiries quickly and efficiently to ensure the caller receives prompt assistance and accurate information.
“My goal as citizens relations coordinator is to keep our citizens satisfied,” Guntle said. “All callers to the City of Rosenberg deserve timely and appropriate resolutions to their concerns. I am proud to be part of the team that will provide this service.”
Hamlett said Rita Herne, a life-long resident of Rosenberg, recently used the services of the citizen relations coordinator and then contacted his office.
“The citizen relations coordinator line is wonderful,” Herne said, according to the city. “My request for information was handled politely and promptly; I appreciate being able to speak directly with someone. This is the best thing the city has done for some time.”
The Citizen Relations Program soon will also allow citizens the ability to submit requests via the city’s website. The citizen relations coordinator may be reached by calling 832-595-3301 or visiting City Hall from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
