Man Shot During Fight Outside Sugar Land Restaurant

An unidentified man was shot several times in a fight Sunday night in the parking lot of a Chuck E Cheese restaurant at 2303 Town Center Drive in Sugar Land.

According to a spokeswoman for the Sugar Land Police Department, officers responded to a call that there had been a shooting at the restaurant at about 8:30 p.m.

“Two adult males, who were in the restaurant and may have known each other, had an altercation in the restaurant parking lot,” the spokeswoman said in a statement. “One of the males shot the other male several times and then left the scene.

The shooting victim was flown by helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital, the police department spokeswoman said. No one else was injured in the incident.

The shooting still is under investigation, but no other information was available late Sunday.
