U.S. Rep. Nick Lampson, D-Stafford, has won a third committee seat, as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced Thursday that Lampson has been appointed to the House Agriculture Committee.
Lampson already had been named to serve on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and the Science Committee.
“I am honored to have been appointed to the Agriculture Committee,” Lampson said. “My grandparents were farmers in Fort Bend County and I grew up working in the fields on their farm. I look forward to having the opportunity to serve the agricultural community in the 22nd Congressional District of Texas and across this great nation.”
