Fresno Man Busted For Illegal Drug And Body Armor Possession

Fort Bend County narcotics agents arrested a Fresno man on Wednesday and charged him with several drug offenses as well as “unlawful possession of metal or body armor by a felon.”

Enrique Segura, 56, of the 3700 block of Kim Street, was also charged with manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and tampering with identification numbers on firearms.

According to a statement by the Fort Bend County Narcotics Task Force, Segura was arrested after agents conducted a search warrant at his house on Wednesday, where they found “several barricaded-type door structures that are commonly used for the mere protection of illegal narcotics.”

Drug agents confiscated seven guns, two of which they called “tactical shotguns” – one of which was a sawed-off double-barrel shotgun and the other “a tactical shotgun with added tactical accessories.”

According to the task force statement, agents found that serial numbers on some of the guns had been altered and were unreadable.

“What was really alarming, however, was a body armor-fragmentation bullet proof vest that was discovered at the residence,” the task force statement said.

Agents also uncovered about three pounds of marijuana, electronic scales and “packaging contraband for distributing marijuana.”

Segura was transported to the Fort Bend County Jail in Richmond, where he is being held in lieu of $111,500 bond.
