Houston Residents Of Fort Bend County Need A Library

My concern is for some of us that use Houston as part of our mailing address but actually paid FBISD tax at the same time pay Water tax etc to Houston. We are not getting all necessary benefits and who really is responsible?

I am talking about a Public Library for us. Currently one has to go to the Houston library on Kirkwood or go to the Sugar Land library around the Sugar Factory. We all know gas is expensive and all this unncessary distant driving could be considered and give us a public library for those of us not really in the city of Sugar Land but trapped in Houston and quoted as Fbend residents.

It’s confusing enough when teaching one’s kid about all these dual status residents. Please give us a public library close to FM 1464 to encompass most of us in the quagmire situation.

I know I have contacted some officials in the Houston Main Library on this issue. What I get, you ask, is an excuse not a confirmation of when or if the library will be built for us.

We all have children in schools and FBISD gets a lion’s share of our tax but no one thought out of all this bond and that bond a public library will help students to study when not on school campuses. We need to study on weekends and holidays too, you know, not just school hours and school days. Parents can use a library as well for a lot of studies with or without the children.

There are lots of people here in Mission Bend Subdivision shelling out big tax to FBISD and without children. We can enjoy public library as well you know. Please pass it on to whoever has the final say on this. I’m sure lots of people will appreciate it, but just don’t know who to contact.
