Jack Molho Eyes Precinct 1 Commissioner’s Race

Community activist and long-time Fort Bend County resident Issac “Jack” Molho said Thursday he is considering a run against Tom Stavinoha for Precinct 1 County Commissioner and 99% certain he’ll enter the race.

A “dyed-in-the-wool Republican,” Molho said he intends to have “some conversations with my family” to make sure they’re ready for the commitment such a political race entails, but said they’re 100% behind me.”

He said he began considering running for commissioner after being approached by several community groups and local leaders.

“If I am elected, I will work tirelessly to improve Precinct 1 for all of its citizens, and I will ask for everyone’s support as I move forward in my campaign efforts,” Molho said in a campaign statement.

Improving mobility, focusing on crime prevention, keeping property taxes low and improving the quality of life for those who live and work in Precinct 1 would be at the top of Molho’s list of important issues in not only Precinct One, but also in Fort Bend County as a whole.

According to his campaign statement, Molho feels that his background as a successful consultant with The Manhattan Group and Coldwell Banker United Realtors, as well as being a Lieutenant with the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office – Reserve Division, will provide him with a strong and unique background along with the knowledge that will be necessary to efficiently manage this office and the responsibilities that brings.

Jack has been a long-time community activist, working with and serving on the boards of many Fort Bend organizations including: The American Heart Association, The Alzheimer’s Foundation, The Fort Bend Exchange Club, The Association of Retarded Citizens, past Chairman’s Council for the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce and is currently a board member for the Greatwood Home Owners Association.

He has successfully worked on projects related to traffic, safety, budgeting, capital projects and neighborhood beautification, according to his campaign statement. Jack is also a past recipient of the Governor’s Award for Volunteerism for his efforts to immunize the children of Texas.

Professionally, Molho is Principal in The Manhattan Group, a project management consulting firm that works in both the private and public sector in operations and management issues, real estate solutions, human resources, IT (information technology) and property management in both domestic and international settings.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with dual concentration in Psychology and Political Science from Houston Baptist University. Jack also holds a Master Peace Officer Certificate from the State of Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education. He speaks Spanish and Greek fluently.

This experience combined with having served on a number of homeowner association/community boards further his qualifications for this position.

He has been a resident of Fort Bend County since 1979 and a resident of Greatwood since 2004. He and his wife, Donna Molho, have four children and attend Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Houston and they also attend Riverpointe Community Church in Richmond.
