Two new restaurants have opened in Missouri City – DJ’s Restaurant and Sports Bar, 12033 Hwy. 6, and Candelari’s Pizzeria at 7425 Hwy. 6.

Houston-based Candelari’s began as a sausage company, offering a variety of sausages, including the Italian sausage recipe created by the founder’s grandfather. The sausage is now used on the pizzas, in pasta dishes and served as an appetizer. The menu includes other family recipes as well.

A lunch buffet is available every day, as well as a full bar. Candelari’s is open Sunday through Thursday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m.-10 p.m. The menu is available at candelaris.com, and delivery is available.

Representatives of DJ’s say the sports bar offers “the complete entertainment package” with sports, games, bands, a dance floor, drinks and food. The gaming area includes professional-size pool tables, dart stations and Golden Tee and Silver Strike machines. The new restaurant will serve a full-service menu for lunch and dinner, as well as feature bands and DJ’s later in the evening.
