A Sugar Land man was robbed by two armed teenagers early Monday as he returned to his home.
The man drove into a parking space at his home in the 1800 block of Austin Parkway at about 12:25 a.m. when he was approached by the robbers, a Sugar Land Police Department spokeswoman said Tuesday.
Both robbers held what appeared to be rifles or shotguns, and one demanded the man’s wallet. He complied with the request, and by the time police arrived the two had fled toward Lexington Boulevard.
The robbers both were described as black male teenagers, each wearing dark clothing, with their faces covered by handkerchiefs.
The robbery victim, who was uninjured, apparently was able to keep his cell phone, and used it immediately after the incident to call police.
