Robbers Posing As Repairmen Force Children To The Floor, Ransack Home

Two men posing as repairmen forced their way into a Fresno home and forced two children onto the ground as they ransacked the place Monday afternoon.

The robbers came to the door of the home, in the 3700 block of Libery Square in Fresno’s Teal Run neighborhood, at about 3 p.m., according to Fort Bend County Sheriff’s reports.

The men were disgusied as repairmen, knocked on the door at the home and said they were there to check on a water heater, said sheriff’s spokeswoman Terriann Carlson.

The only occupants of the home at the time were a 16-year-old and a 6-year-old child, Carlson said. The men pushed their way inside and forced the children onto the ground while they “scoured the home for money.”

No one was hurt in the incident. No description of the robbers, or what they may have taken, was available early Tuesday morning.

The case remains under investigation.
