Residents and businesses along a portion of Rosenberg’s Avenue D will be face with about two months of traffic delays and road closures, as a sewer improvement project gets under way.
Work on phase III of a continuing sanitary sewer improvement project began Monday and will continue for about 60 days on Avenue D between 1st and Mulcahy streets, Rosenberg Project Director Melissa Pena said.
Property owners will be able to access their homes and businesses, however, through traffic will be limited and temporary road closures “should be expected,” Pena said.
To avoid traffic delays due to the construction, motorists are being encouraged to 3rd or Walnut Street.
The project is being paid for via a federal Community Development Block Grant.
