Fort Bend County Libraries’ George Memorial Library in Richmond will present an introductory program on scrapbooking on Tuesday, Jan. 27.
The class will begin at 7 p.m. in the library’s meeting room.
Scrapbooking expert Deanna White will discuss basic techniques for preserving photographs, stories and other memorable keepsakes. She will also demonstrate different ideas for designing creative scrapbook pages that will make lasting memories.
Other resources for scrapbooking enthusiasts of all ability levels can be found at the library on an ongoing basis. Books, videos and magazines can be found at various branches throughout the library system. Back issues of some magazines, such as “Simple Scrapbooks” and “Creating Keepsakes” at George Memorial Library, may be checked out from the library just as with books and videos.
“Quilted Memories: Journaling, Scrapbooking & Creating Keepsakes with Fabric” by Lesley Riley is a book located at George Memorial and the Missouri City Branch, while “Scrapbooking with Recipes: Ideas for Preserving Kitchen Memories,” by Susan Banker can be found at the Cinco Ranch Branch in Katy.
Library patrons may place a hold on these scrapbooking resources, as well as many other crafting books and videos throughout the library system, and pick them up at any of the branches within the Fort Bend County library system.
