Viewpoint — I’m not following you. I don’t remember who the Federation backed last year, but my guess is Menendez and Hohnbaum? The voters obviously didn’t disagree.
As for Caldwell, she only won by around 400 votes. Not a big win. In fact somewhat embarrassing for an incumbent.

The president of the FBISD board did not appear. I believe that’s the president to which teacherindistrict refers.

The president of the employee federation *did* appear, which I assume is the president to which you are referring.

I don’t blame the Federation. Ya’ gotta’ work with what you’ve got. I suspect that they support the candidate they feel is the “best of the bunch”. Maybe not always exactly what you want, but the best option in any given case.
Last year’s Federation endorsements were, perhaps, their best/only choice?

To teacherindistrict:where did you get your info about that the President did not appear.She did appear because I was there. If you were misinformed about the president not being there how are you going to be informed about what canidate you are going to choose. So stay informed and go to the forums they have. So you dont hear it second handed you hear it directly from the horses mouth.

I agree with your question. I understand that the union supported two of the recent board members who appear to just “sit there” and not take active stands for the teachers. This year? Next year?

I really don’t think it matters anymore.

Once a board member gets elected, things change and their personal agenda changes as well.

How do teachers union members fill about FBISD present/ pastleadership? Is the Ft. Bend teach federation happy about present FBISD BOT elect officials of previous union endorsements made are listening?If not, then the teacher federation has fail to endorse the right candidates?
