The City of Sugar Land and Keep Sugar Land Beautiful are co-hosting the second annual Environmental Week in Sugar Land from April 13 – 19.
One of the events taking place as a part of Environmental Week is the Council District Recycling Challenge, giving all residents a chance to take part in the week’s efforts while supporting Sugar Land’s curbside recycling program.
The recycling challenge encourages residents to recycle curbside on their designated recycling day even if their recycling bin is not completely full. The city and Allied Waste will survey the neighborhoods and calculate which of the Sugar Land’s four council districts has the highest rate of recycling.
The winning district will be recognized at the April 21 City Council meeting.
Anyone needing recycling bins should contact the Sugar Land Public Works Department at 281-275-2450.

Support Texas State surfside water plan to cut MUD waste-water, thence recycle for more public water.
