Drug agents say they busted up a Richmond family cocaine business that included a 60-year-old grandmother and her 13-year-old grandson.
Agents from the Fort Bend County Narcotics Task Force and the county’s Special Operation Unit served a search warrant Friday at a residence in the 100 block of Douglas Street in Richmond after an investigation they said targeted “a family that were organized cocaine traffickers.”
According to information from the county Sheriff’s Office, task force members arrested four adults after recovering an undisclosed amount of cocaine during a search of the home.
Arrested were Rene Chon Meza, 33; Jennifer Renee Gonzales-Meza, 21; Leticia Marie Meza, 26; and Rosie Meza, 60.
Drug agents said Rene and Leticia Meza are Rosie Meza’s children, and Gonzales-Meza is Rene Meza’s wife.
The 13-year-old boy has been referred to Texas Chidlren’s Protective Services as well as the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s juvenile division.
The sheriff’s office said evidence obtained by drug agents indicates Rene Meza was “the financial backer and source of the illegal drugs,” while Rosie Meza was the “order taker.”
Leticia Meza and Jennifer Gonzales-Meza were identified as “packagers and distributors” of the cocaine.
Rene and Rosie Meza and Rene Meza’s wife all were charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, and with child endangerment.
Leticia Meza was only charged with possession with intent to deliver.
All four were placed in Fort Bend County Jail in Richmond. Bond was set at $75,000 apiece on the drug charges and $15,000 apiece on the child endangerment charges.

I’m guessing they were using the 13 yr old to sell to kids. Nice…some people shouldn’t be allowed to have children. Well, I hope their jail experience will deter this kind of family bonding in the future.
