Hurado Construction Co. has begun work on a $340,000-plus contract it won from the City of Rosenberg for drainage improvements along Seabourne Creek, from Klauke Road north to Blue Road.
Improved drainage is required before the city can improve Blume and Bamore roads, the next phase of the work.
One of four “quality-of-life” bond projects approved by Rosenberg voters in 2006, the project also will include making channel improvements to Seabourne and Dry creeks. Money from the project also will be used “for expenses associated with the completion” of Seabourne Creek Regional Detention facility, the city said in a statement.
