Rosenberg residents and business owners took heavy advantage of the city’s annual Spring Cleanup, delivering 572 loads of junk and unwanted items to dumpsters.
Event organizer and Public Works Director Kenneth Jansky had dumpsters placed at Brazos and Sunset parks for the May2 clean-up. Residents could bring nearly anything they wanted to get rid of as long as it wasn’t potentially hazardous. Proof of residency was required.
The city said workers collected 132 loads of trash at Brazos Park during the event, and 440 loads at Sunset park.
“The purpose of the city’s Spring CleanUp was to give Rosenberg’s residents the opportunity to pick-up and clean-up with the ultimate goal of making the City a cleaner more attractive place to live, work, and play,” Jansky said.
