Missouri City Man Shot In The Head And Killed While Sitting In His Parked Car

A 27-year-old Missouri City man was shot in the head and killed as he sat in his car sometime Saturday night or early Sunday, becoming the city’s first homicide of the year.

Jason Kallingkudiyil’s body was discovered by his brother, Missouri City Police Capt. John Bailey said. The victim was sitting in his tan Lincoln Aviator, parked in front of a house under construction in the 7600 block of Cicada.

Bailey said the house was being built by Kallingkudiyil’s parents, adding, “we don’t know why he was there. We don’t have a lot to go on.”

Kallingkudiyil died from a single gunshot to the head, Bailey said. The driver’s side window was down. No weapon was found.

At this point, police have no motive for the killing.

“His brother found him,” Bailey said. Kallingkudiyil “didn’t go home that night, and he was worried.”

The shooting victim was last seen alive at about 8:20 p.m. Saturday.
