A violent man robbed four Fort Bend County stores over the weekend, stabbing one clerk and holding a knife to the throat of two others.

Police detectives are asking the public for help finding the suspect, and have released security photos captured at the scenes of one of the crimes.

Information from the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri City Police Department indicates the man went on a crime spree beginning Saturday at 4:40 a.m., when he robbed a Valero gas station store at 2975 Texas Parkway in Missouri City.

At 8:11 a.m. Saturday, sheriff’s detectives think the same suspect robbed Fresno Grocery, at 3503 F.M. 521 in Fresno.

Then at 5:35 p.m. Saturday, the robber struck again, holding up the Fresno Food Mart at 4327 F.M. 521.

“In both robberies the suspect entered the store armed with a knife,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement. “He placed the store clerks in a headlock with a knife held to their throat and ordered them to open the cash register.”

In both of those robberies the man took an unspecified amount of cash from the registers and fled in a gray or gold “mid-size” SUV.

At about 9 p.m., detectives believe, the same man struck again, robbing a Shell gas station store at 7118 State Highway 6 in Missouri City. In that robbery, the clerk was stabbed by the robber. The victim was transported to Ben Taub Hospital, where he remains in stable condition, a sheriff’s spokeswoman said.

The suspect in all four robberies is described as a slender white man, standing 6 feet tall with brown hair and a mustache. In the two Fresno robberies, he wore a khaki shirt, blue-jean shorts and sunglasses. During one of those robberies he wore a khaki “boonie” hat. During the other, he wore a ball cap.
