Crime Reports

A 62-year-old woman was hospitalized with brain hemorrhaging after two men pistol-whipped her Sunday night during a robbery in Sugar Land.

The attack occurred at about 7 p.m. Sunday, in a service alley behind Keemat Grocery, at 2464 Settlers Way, according to a police report.

“The men struck the woman in the head with a black handgun and seriously damaged her fingers as they forcibly removed her jewelry,” a Sugar Land Police Department spokesman said.

The two stole the woman’s purse along with an undisclosed amount of jewelry, and left in a nearby vehicle where a driver was waiting, the police spokesman said.

He added that police believe the robbers were in Pennison’s Pub nearby shortly before the attack. Their images, which may be released later today, were captured on security cameras.

Detectives are looking for two suspects, one described as a black man 18 to 25 years old, 5 feet, 8 inches to 6 feet tall, with a “large, muscular build and tattoos on his arms.” He was wearing a white tank-top shirt and black pants.

The second suspect was described as a white man 18 to 25 years old, 5 feet, 2 inches to 5 feet, 5 inches tall, with short, light-colored hair, light eyes and light skin. he was wearing a white tank top and Capris-style or cut-off gray pants.

Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspects is asked to call Sugar Land police at 281-275-2540, or call anonymously to Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-8477.

Sure I do. Are you assuming they were the only people leaving the bar when the incident happened? The main question is why are you automatically assuming things happened differently
than reported? You refuse to answer this question. Why?

  2. Joe Murphy Says:

Megabite, were you under the impression that all witnesses see the same thing, or are not biased in some ways like being friends with the accused, or even is a small way, the cause of the crime?

  3. MEGABITE Says:

Anyway, it was beyond dumb for these two punks to go into a bar (it’s usually crowded at that time) before the robbery. Hopefully alot of people got to get a good look at them and can pick them out of a lineup.

  4. MEGABITE Says:

Of course he wasn’t. He’s relaying information his client gave him. There were also witnesses. I guess they’re lying too?

  5. Joe Murphy Says:

Megabite, the attorney for the policeman in the other case was not present at the crime, nor was the reporter present in this case.

  6. MEGABITE Says:

Lynching the little old ladies? What are you talking about?
    You are speaking nonsense again.

  7. MEGABITE Says:

No, I prefer to take the word of the people that were there and involved rather than doubt them for no good reason.

  8. Joe Murphy Says:

No, Megabite. What I do believe is that you prefer answers and emotions over questions and thinking.

If these two robbers have their attorney explain to you that their crime was because these older women kept “coming at them” looking at them menacingly with their heavy jewelry, maybe speaking some little-old-lady-language, then your emotions and support would no doubt go with lynching the little old ladies. Gullibility is scary.

Fortunately this report was done by a fairly good reporter instead of a defendant’s attorney, so the little old ladies are safe for now.

  9. MEGABITE Says:

Let me guess, you being the keyboard detective you are, you don’t believe her account of what happened?

  10. MEGABITE Says:

    Miller Time already? haha

  11. MEGABITE Says:

    Huh??

  12. Joe Murphy Says:

Megabite, when the attorney’s of these robbers tell you what they think really happened, you’ll be the first one to want to lynch these little old ladies.

  13. MEGABITE Says:

Hope they catch these two $%#^&%$*#s
    Robbing little old ladies?? WOW
