Rosenberg’s summer concert series starts with a duel on July 31, when Mark Smith and his Texas Blazing Dueling Pianos appears starting at 7 p.m., weather permitting.
Smith, a versatile musician who began as a trumpet player, got the ‘dueling pianos’ bug after visiting Pat O.Brien’s and freelancing in Houston, College Station, Corpus Christi, Galveston, Lake Charles and Las Vegas.
The city’s Friday night concert will be held at Third Street Park between avenues F and G in the Historic Downtown District.
There are no provisions to relocate the concert should inclement weather force cancellation. Music enthusiasts should bring lawn chairs, family, friends and their love of music.
