Teens Jump Out Of Car, Beat And Rob Two Men

Two young men were beaten and robbed Thursday afternoon while walking in Missouri City near the intersection of Whispering Pine and Thornbrook, according to a police report.

The two told police that a small older-model red four-door passenger vehicle pulled up in front of them at about 4:10 p.m., and four or five teenagers between the ages of 14 and 17 got out.

Both victims were hit in the head, both fell to the ground and both were kicked “numerous” times by several or all of the assailants, a Missouri City Police Department spokesman said. Both also were ordered to give up their backpacks.

One victim handed over his backpack and then ran away, jumping a fence to escape. The other was robbed of his backpack and a pair of Nike Jordan sandals, the spokesman said. Both backpacks contained cell phones. One also had a wallet and $30 cash, and one had a pair of Nike Jordan shoes.

The victims described the teenagers only as black males, and were unable to provide a license plate number on the car or further descriptions.
