“In the attempt to apprehend Nisbett, he resisted arrest and ultimately fled the area,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement released Friday morning. “Investigator Gonzales sustained serious injuries caused by the suspect, and contacted Houston Police Department of officer assistance.”

Gonzales was transported to Southwest Memorial Hospital, where he is being treated for “non-life-threatening injuries” and will have to undergo surgery. Sheriff’s spokeswoman Terriann Carlson said Gonzales sustained a serious knee injury in the incident.

Meanwhile, members of the sheriff’s Fugitive Apprehension Unit were deployed and, with help from Houston police officers found Nisbett in the 9000 block of Boone Road in Houston.

Nisbett “was taken into custody after resisting arrest for a second time, and transported to the Fort Bend County Jail.

Carleson said Nisbett was removed from the jail and treated for injuries he sustained, and then returned to the jail.

He remains incarcerated without bond. In addition to the family violence charges, he also faces a charge of aggravated assault of a peace officer, and possession of a controlled substance.

Check on the web, he has had numerous altercations with the law! What we need is a jury to do is stand up and speak out and start handing out some REAL time. Start sentencing these guys to 50 + years, that way after good time they will still have to do at least 5 years.
