The Rosenberg City Council recently appointed a host of local residents and business people to various city boards, committees, and commissions.
The appointments included:
Animal Control Shelter Advisory Board
Joni Chapman, Joni Huff, Dr. William Hester, Lt. Wayne Jory and Animal Control Officer Jackie Jurasek were all reappointed to an additional one-year term to the Animal Control Shelter Advisory Board. There were no new members appointed.
Rosenberg Image Committee
Art Arrington, Bill Benton, Linda Carroll, Tracy Krejci Drabek, Catherine Holmes, Stanley Kucherka, Curtis Matheaus, Karen Mendoza, Gail Parker, Dorothy Ryan, Nancy Talasek and Christy Willman were all reappointed to the Rosenberg Image Committee.
New appointments included Kellen Dorman representing Foster High School; Dillon Stavinoha representing Terry High School; Courtney Wheat representing Lamar High School and Raymond Kueck, Fran Naylor and Rose Pickens, a City of Rosenberg employee.
Image Committee members were appointed for a one-year term.
Parks and Recreation Board
Teresa Bailey, Roland Bermudes, Laurie Cook, John Dorman, Bertha Nell Kelm, Anton Kostak, Stanley Kucherka, Janie Warstler and Larry William were reappointed to the Parks and Recreation Board for a one-year term.
Rosenberg Planning Commission
Jim Franklin, Michael Parsons, Pete Pavlovsky and Wayne Poldrak were reappointed to serve on the city’s Planning Commission.
Cynthia McConathy and James Urbish were appointed as new members.
Members of the six-member commission were appointed for two-year terms.
Rosenberg Convention and Visitors Bureau
Philip Anders, Joyce Bartos, Curtis Matheaus, Gail Parker, LaQuita Starr, Walter Urbish, Janie Warstler and Larry Willman were reappointed to serve an additional one-year term on the Rosenberg Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Parks and Recreation Funding Task Force
Seven people were appointed to a new committee, the Parks and Recreation Funding Task Force. The task force is charged with developing policies and soliciting grants and sponsorships to fund park improvements and city-wide recreation programming.
Members of the new task force include Mark Carter, Amy Cloud, Christy Hawkins, Ginger Johnson, Toni Schramme, Stephen Vasek and Janie Warstler.
Each year, the Rosenberg City Council appoints and reappoints members to the city’s board, committees and commissions for that year.
