Fort Bend County has temporarily closed a portion of Williams Way Boulevard, formerly Ransom Road, in Richmond for improvements being made to facilitate construction of the new county justice center, including its tunnel connection to the jail.
The closure begins today. The road will remain closed until Feb. 15, 2010.
In order to minimize the length of construction, the county said work will occur continuously during the road closure in an effort to re-open ahead of schedule.
Eugene Heimann Circle will be used as the detour route during construction.
Warning and detour signs are being posted to advise motorists.
