The Texana Learning Center at Sugar Land received a donation of $5,000 from Randalls Food Markets after the store held an in-store campaign to raise money for individuals with disabilities.

At last week’s parents meeting, Gardenia Burton, Randalls Employment Coordinator and Texana parent, presented the parents group with the check.
“I submitted the request for Randalls to support Texana and I was ecstatic when I heard the news,” said Burton. “It was a great feeling to know that my company supported a non-profit I interact with daily with my family.”
Texana Center is a 501(c) 3 public, not for profit, organization that provides behavioral healthcare and developmental disabilities services to residents of a six county area that includes Austin, Colorado, Fort Bend, Matagorda, Waller and Wharton Counties. Texana Center has its headquarters in Rosenberg and serves about 4,000 clients per month.
