PS “THE FACT IS WE ARE THE MOST HIGHLY TAXED (PROPERTY) COUNTY IN THE STATE OF TEXAS. ”
On the state of Texas site for property taxes by county
Fort Bend ranks 119 out of 254 counties. There are ONLY 118 counties with higher taxes than Ft Bend.
You keep repeating your lame debate tactics ad infinitum, even when exposed. Why are you so predictable and how dumb do you think the public is? You are using a rank order list of the state of TX which does not compare median home values and property taxes paid.
How many times do I have to repeat your deception? You’ve done this many times before. What is it you don’t understand about median home values and the percentage of our values we pay in taxes and how they rank across the state and nationally? Are you saying the Tax Foundation, one of the most reputable sources for this type of data is lying? Are you saying the author of the article is lying? Or is it just you word-smithing again and falsely applying the wrong data set as usual to support your ends?
Go back and read these posts charlieB.
22, 23, 58, 94, 95, etc…..(not that it matters you will make up whatever you want anyway). I can’t wait to blow your cover Owen-boy.
This reminds me when your board was telling your neighborhood that the last city tax increase was for a fire engine and not debt service. Now that was funny!
Go sell your garbage someplace else “liberal” gov’t-crony vendor defender…..LOL
PS How many times do you have to be caught saying the same lie over and over???
1st lesson New York isn’t in Texas, no matter what you think.
“since you never post your sources.” actually I did. “the State of Texas site for property taxes by county” have an adult show you how to find the State of Texas website.
once again there are 118 counties with HIGHER property rates than Ft Bend. You’re so gullible its sad.
calvin grow up son.
Let me guess, since you never post your sources. You are attempting to say that median values are the same as rank order list? Better go take a basic stats course or even elementary math before you try and pull another one like that. It’s almost as bad as your argument about flat rates while the appraisals go through the ceiling.
Common charlieB (HOA boy and crony network vendor defender) certainly you can do better than that. I don’t know anyone that would fall for that deception. A very frosh mistake or deliberate one, but about as lame as they come.
PS “THE FACT IS WE ARE THE MOST HIGHLY TAXED (PROPERTY) COUNTY IN THE STATE OF TEXAS. ”–Oh and stop separating the post from the source of the median values claim. Most experts consider it a more precise measure than the garbage you are throwing out. Now go back and reread the earlier posts and leave them alone, no word-smithing fool!
You can’t even debate honestly “liberal” (borrow, tax and spender, govt vendor defender)…LOL…caught again in your lies???

You really believe “Niagara County
New York, Orleans County
New York, Allegany County
New York, Monroe County
New York,Wayne County
New York, Cortland County
New York, etc is in Texas?
“In Fort Bend, according to the data, residents pay about 2.57% of the value of their homes in property taxes each year. ” FBN
Fort Bend County has fared poorly in Tax Foundation studies for the past several years.
Almost two years ago to the day, the foundation released Census data showing Fort Bend at No. 5 on a similar list ranking property taxes as a percentage of median home value, based on 2006 data.
And using just 2007 data, Fort Bend ranked No. 8 on the same list, showing median property taxes of $4,229 paid on a median home value of $168,800 – equaling about 2.5% of that home’s value. FBN
And that doesn’t include MUD taxes, levy or water districts, HOAs and a plethora of other layers that you defend charlieB……stop pretending to be a conservative anything when you are an apologist for the crony vendor feeding network……Now one thing you could do if you weren’t a coward. Go down to the CAD office with your very selective sources and tid-bits of information and convince them that everything is ok and then go to your friends at GCAStrategies or Freed Marketing (many, many developer clients) and ask them to better train the public on how to be good little taxpaying compliant vendor feeders like you and the crony-boys like.
LOL
I knew you couldn’t yield the threads to other posters ftbendconman/charlieB (wadefish/johnbernardbooks/etc). Your vendor and government crony-boys wouldn’t let you “liberal” tax, borrow and spenders off for a day or so.

They also claimed our state sales taxes are above the national average and with SL adding 2.0 more that puts those in the city limits quite high and doesn’t answer the question as to why they are setting up a TIRZ to try and fund this project on all our backs (remember the TIRZ includes multiple entities). No one but you would call the tax foundation a liberal source. LOL
PS Now go back and huddle with the vendor defenders and come up with something new for a change jerk!
Q. What is the Sugar Land Development Corporation?
A. The SLDC funds infrastructure and incentive projects with a 1/4 cent sales tax. Since its creation in 1993, the Corporation has committed to participate in 58 projects totaling over $40 million in funding. These projects have spanned from business recruitment, streets, aviation, drainage, and beautification–and have provided 800 jobs to Sugar Land and increased the city tax rolls by over $80 million.
The SLDC also partnered with Planned Community Developers in the development of Sugar Land Town Square and provided funding to the Texas Department of Transportation for improvements to US 50 totaling $10.7 million.
________
It is important to note that the sales tax rate for Sugar Land _*will not_* be changing.
Q. What is the Sales Tax Rate in Sugar Land today?
A. Te total tax rate on sales in Sugar Land is 8.25% of which is divided between The State of Texas and The City of Sugar Land. The State of Texas keeps 6.25%, leaving The City to collect the remaining 2%.

This is why you have to check liberal’s facts.
On the state of Texas site for property taxes by county
Fort Bend ranks 119 out of 254 counties. There are only 118 counties with higher taxes than Ft Bend.
Lesson learned? Liberals lie, so always check their “facts”
Wow FBC, you surprise me with compliments? I’m just being me! I have met you before at our Executive Meeting? It is this evening “yanno”. Not that will generate any Propositional B interests or anything =)
The details come out at the end of October.
Yes, megabite; Pct. 4 commissioner Patterson is on the Ft. Bend transportation committee, where he support TIRZ funds tobe spent to the benefits of private developers, at public
taxpayers costs.
Still taunting posters loser? Grow up charlie and we is you.
so take two days off calvin we won’t laugh at you
You mean like when you were banned from the site for the same things you are doing now as wadefishin? Grow up charlie. Your BS is in the open and you soon will be too loser.
but I’m not muckie I’m raginbs….sob…..hahaha
Grow up charlieB:

Take ownership of your actions! And why don’t you ftbendconman/mega (singular) give it a rest for 2 days and let others comment loser!
I’ll never forget how pathetic you were that day….”I’m not muckie I’m raginbs”…….only in your mind hahaha
calvin grow up
Still pathetic. ha
Sounds like you butera “ftbendconservative/wadefishin/johnbernardbooks”. Keep modeling that appropriate trolling behavior for everyone:

Mega we have to face it calvin has no life other than posting his rants on these message boards. It doesn’t matter how often we prove him wrong he will continue to come back under a different pusedo, ie raginbs after his disastrous loss in MC election because he needs the attention.
The scary part that bothers me is when he talks to himself using pusedos when no one is around.
Thats just weird.
chronicCalvin has a trait commonly known as a chronicBitcher.
He ain’t happy unless he’s bitchin about something. Its his nature.
You have a constitutional right to whine on messageboards? Wow, that’s news to me. haha
Threats? PUH-LEEZ. Quit lying. And I’m not JBB for the 1,000,001th time.
No true I don’t have an answer to why they want a TIRZ and the special use taxes, except what was offered before.
Mega/jbb (singular)- If you want to force me or anyone else out you better go get the national guard, otherwise I’m going to continue to participate and exercise my constitutional rights. Too bad you can’t respect that or even discuss anything intelligently without your threats.
Wait until the public hearing, can you, 1T? Are you that impatient?
Doesn’t make any sense to me.
Does anyone have an answer to my question?
I understand this is what you live for…whining on messageboards. We get it.
Why stay in a county you feel is unfairly taxing you, hmmm?
Why?
I usually go to the astros games, but they’ve been losing so much lately. Maybe if we buy a big enough team we can have a winner in Sugar Land. I wonder if we should call them the “canes”. I don’t own a home so raise what ever taxes you need to pay for it. It will all be fun!
“MEGABITE says:

Welcome to fortbendwhiner.com”
If you don’t like it mega/jbb why don’t you not post……LOL (yes sarcasm intended)
-Welcome S&T. We are discussing how projects get paid for on the backs of taxpayers/homeowners. Not just this district.
Who are you addressing mega/jbb? Are you going to ask anyone who doesn’t agree with you why they live anywhere and why they engage in debate? Maybe you need to read the constitution and focus on speech and property rights.
Welcome to fortbendwhiner.com
That entertainment district should be alot of fun you all are arguing about! Who cares how much it costs.
1T- When did I tell you to move? Are you talking out of your rear end? Notice he goes on and on and on and on about how high the property taxes are here yet he decided to stay in
the county when he moved. Why? If I was unhappy with the property tax rate, I’d move to a county that I thought was fair, it’s common sense.
CC-I figured you’d avoid that question. Not surprising at all.
That’s a good question.
“Has anyone asked why this area needs a special TIRZ if the venues are supposed to pay for this project through special use taxes as was voted on by the public?”
The answer is probably as simple as because they want more than just those taxes.
Mega/jbb (singular) why don’t you go soak your head in a fountain. You special interest boys always like to threaten people, don’t you?
Why is it megabite whenever someone disagrees with you all you can do is tell them to move?
Has anyone asked why this area needs a special TIRZ if the venues are supposed to pay for this project through special use taxes as was voted on by the public?
When they ran you out of Sienna, why didn’t you move on instead of staying in Fort Bend? Not too smart, are ya?
See #22, 43 and 53……once again you are wrong. That is hard data and reports from this news service and the tax foundation.
Maybe you should go down to the tax office and try and convince all those protesters as they go into the CAD offices that they really should be happy and content and not challenge the status quo or your vendor buddies, right? Gotta luv it!
PS “THE FACT IS WE ARE THE MOST HIGHLY TAXED (PROPERTY) COUNTY IN THE STATE OF TEXAS. ”
LOL
Texas is 41 of 50 TOTAL TAX BURDEN.
I’m not interested in your spin.
charlie b., HOA-boy….
The part you don’t seem to get is this:
“THE FACT IS WE ARE THE MOST HIGHLY TAXED (PROPERTY) COUNTY IN THE STATE OF TEXAS. ” and the fact that we had record numbers of protests against the recent near 11% appraised value increases and the fact that you need reading lessons?
Might want to reread post #53, 43, etc. or here is the key paragraph, but any of these will do as a response to you:
“He will continue to make the same redundant claims time and again. Even while his city and school district voted to raise their property taxes once more (3 for 3 years) during a recession. Then he will fail to mention we lead the state, as a county, in property taxes per home value and are in the top ten in the country. Our sales taxes, according to the same source, are above the national mean too and in his “per capita” claim he fails to mention that not all taxes were included as most states do not have MUDs. And if you happen to purchase a home in some of these newer well connected (politically) communities like Telfair and Alianas, you will be paying extra transfer fees, very high HOA annuals on top of the MUD fees. None of which are part of the formula our “insider” is claiming. Not to mention this places the onerous of taxation on the property owners (small businesses and homeowners) who are not “connected” in what looks a great deal like a ponzi scheme only manipulated and controlled by a fairly small group in the machine.”
Oh, charlie, stop defending the government vendor-boys and raising our taxes to feed them. You will feel much better about it when your mask is lifted, I promise! LOL
calvin I used the same site you used, I just didn’t spin it.
What part of 41 of 50 states in TOTAL TAX BURDEN do you not grasp?
now grow up.
I see what you two mean.
And BTW, speak for yourself, my property taxes are very, very, very low. Why would you live in a area in which you think you are being unfairly taxed? MOVE.
Whining on a messageboard will surely change everything!
Patriot, what our troll does is defend government vendor corps that operate in this area and suck the life out of our budgets and then spin a rhetorical soup for them. Most on this site have heard it for years in these threads and will know all the Ws (who, what, where, when and why) very soon. We saw these guys working shifts during Bob Heberts mobility bond marketing pushes like clock work they came in shifts. These are well funded by the special interest PACs of the companies that need our dollars (they think of as “free money”) and many of them contribute regularly to our commissioners and other local politicians. As a matter of fact they have a meeting soon in Rosenberg, kinda like our own G-20.
He will continue to make the same redundant claims time and again. Not to mention this places the onerous of taxation on the property owners (small businesses and homeowners) who are not “connected” in what looks a great deal like a ponzi scheme only manipulated and controlled by a fairly small group in the machine.
So just forget all about the other ways we are taxed and stop viewing his apples to oranges comparisons (that he still calls apples to apples in his little metaphor). THE FACT IS WE ARE THE MOST HIGHLY TAXED (PROPERTY) COUNTY IN THE STATE OF TEXAS. He will continue to defend this untenable position, because that is the networks official stance and all those tax protestors and “naysayers” be damned (in his mind at least).
Charlie will then spout off what a good conservative he is, while he is only a big hypocrite defending the machine. LOL
Great, yet another conspiracy theorist.
