The floral department at the newly opened Kroger Marketplace at 8011 Grand Parkway in Richmond was in disarray early this afternoon as a male shopper suffered a seizure and fell.
The Richmond Fire Department and Fort Bend Emergency Medical Services were called to the store, where it took several men at least half an hour to get the injured man on a stretcher as he fought, in obvious pain, with paramedics.
Emergency workers considered calling a helicopter to transport the man to a hospital, but an ambulance was used instead.
The man’s identity and medical condition could not be released due to federal privacy regulations.
