ARTreach will host a “Chair-ish the Arts” exhibition and fundraiser next Thursday at the Villagio Town Center Community Room in Cinco Ranch.
The event, which begins at 6 p.m., will include fine wine and “A Taste of Villagio” with frozen margaritas, beer and food catered by Berryhill Baja Grill.

MAYORAL TOUCH – Mayor Don Elder and wife Ida Fae add their special touches to the ARTreach “Chair-ished” work of art. The specially-created chair will be among the artwork on display at the “Chair-ish the Arts” fundraiser at Villagio Town Center next Thursday.
There will also be music provided by Michael Guevara, a silent auction, a gallery exhibition of original work by artists from Katy, Houston, Austin, Los Angeles and Nigeria and signature pieces created by ARTreach community “heroes.”
Also featured will be a specially-created chair designed and painted by ARTreach artists and community volunteers.
The silent auction will feature works of art that include pottery, fused glass and large and small paintings. Bids on the artwork will open low and “go home that evening to the highest bidder,” according to event organizers.
All other original works of art will also be for sale and will remain exhibited in the gallery until October 31. Prices range between “starving artist” prices of $45 to more than $8,000 for museum pieces.
Tickets are $25 and can be reserved by e-mailing ARTreach Executive Director Terri Bieber at t.bieber@artreachonline.org.
