Drug Agents from the Fort Bend County Narcotics Task Force have seized 154 lbs. of cocaine from a tractor trailer stopped at U.S. 59 Northbound and Hamlink Road in Rosenberg.

Drug Agents conducted a roadside investigation on the vehicle locating the cocaine concealed in the trailer. The driver, 26-year-old Ruben Perez Jr. of Edcouch, Texas, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, a first degree felony.
The tractor and trailer were seized by Drug Agents under the Chapter 59 Statute as proceeds gained from felony drug offenses and filed with the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office.
The street value of the Cocaine was 1.75 million dollars. The bond for Perez was set at $150,000.

Kind of embarrassing that all these drugs are getting found in Fort Bend, of course if we had the TTC, it might all get diverted and get to Canada much faster, right guys?
