Rosenberg Fire Chief Kathy Hutchens has announced that Texas Roadhouse at Brazos Town Center will host a community fundraiser luncheon for the Fire Department from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 29.

Firefighters Jason Kosler, Jason Johns, George Velasquez, Jr., Bobby Teichman, and Lt. Dwain Ustynik are poised to serve and entertain at the Oct. 29 Texas Roadhouse community fundraiser. The event will raise funds to purchase equipment for the Rosenberg Fire Department.
Fire personnel will participate in the special fundraising luncheon serving as greeters, assisting with serving guests, and according to Hutchens, some might take on a new role in “entertainment.”
“Everyone having lunch at the Texas Roadhouse that day will get a hearty meal, enjoy some creative firefighter entertainment, and then pay what they choose to pay – or donate – for the lunch and the experience,” said Hutchins. “The Texas Roadhouse is generously donating all the proceeds to the Fire Department and we are planning to use those donations to supplement funding for some much needed equipment for the Rosenberg Fire Department. The Texas Roadhouse Manager Richard Whitmore and Marketer Sonya Kuni are enthusiastically looking forward to this event. They want this to be an event that will significantly impact the department while still being fun for our citizens.”
The public is invited to the event. For more information call 832-595-3600 or fire@ci.rosenberg.tx.us.

Hey megabit, who cares where there longpants are? Just because they are wearing shorts does not mean they will treat you any different than if they were in pants. If I needed medical attention from them I could care less if they were in pink to-to’s. As long as they did their job to the best of their ability. These guys are probably wearing shorts due to the heat/humidity, cut em some slack. Your probably one of those people that nit-pick every little detail just to be able to post something on this website. I guess your next post will be that they were parked in a Handicap parking spot without the proper blue tag hanging on the mirror!
That is really generous of the Roadhouse to let people choose what to pay/donate. Most places would just give like 10-20% of the bill or something like that…
Where’s their longpants? 8^P
