“A Country Affair,” the 15th annual Fall Festival at First United Methodist Church Missouri City, is scheduled from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 14.

A quilt donated by the Coastal Prairie Quilt Guild is featured at the First United Methodist Church Missouri City Fall Festival Silent Auction on Nov. 14.
Admission is free to the festival, which is held on the church campus at the corner of Lexington Boulevard and FM 1092 (Murphy Road) in Missouri City.
This year’s festival midway features five large, inflatable amusements, including a rock wall, bounce house, “ride the bull,” super slide and obstacle course. Adults may purchase a $15 wristband at the festival that allows children unlimited access to the large amusements.
Hungry festival goers may choose from traditional carnival fare at the Festival Café, a three-course lunch with live entertainment at Pansies Tea Room, or baked goods at Aunt Hattie’s Homebaked Pastries Shoppe.
More than 70 arts and crafts vendors are scheduled to exhibit, offering handcrafted jewelry, educational toys and recycled vintage accessories.
The Fall Festival’s Silent Auction features a handcrafted quilt donated by the Coastal Prairie Quilt Guild. Suggested minimum bid for the $800-retail-value quilt is $500.
Fall Festival proceeds benefit the East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry, Fort Bend Family Promise, and other ministries of the church. For more information about the festival or to place a bid for the quilt in advance, call the church office at 281-499-3502, or visit www.fumcmc.org or www.twitter.com/acountryaffair.
