Missouri City police arrested a 28-year-old man after a fight involving the suspect, his parents and his cousin. Police were called to a home in the 2400 block of Doverglen Drive around 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23. They found the suspect, Ronald Franco, in the driveway, along with a car with two smashed windows.

Police pieced together the story after speaking with Franco and his mother, father and cousin, who were inside the house. According to reports, Franco was arguing with his mother and shoved her to the ground. His cousin then punched him in the face, and the two got into a fistfight. When Franco’s 65-year-old father tried to break up the fight, Franco punched him in the side of the head, and choked him, pushing him against a wall.

Franco then ran outside, picked up two pieces of concrete from the street and smashed two windows in his cousin’s car. Franco was arrested and charged with assault on the elderly, which was upgraded to a felony because he allegedly choked his father, assault family violence and criminal mischief.
