A pen light test of a $100 during the booking process at the Fort Bend County Jail revealed a counterfeit $100 bill Monday morning.

The suspect was arrested by Missouri City police around 8:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of Buffalo Run Drive after he was pulled over and police discovered he had a warrant out of another county for theft by check. He was taken to the county jail, where during the booking process a pen light showed that his $100 bill was counterfeit.

It would have been funny if he’d tried to bribe the officer with it.
