Man Almost Has Two Cars Stolen In One Night

Car thieves in Stafford apparently tried to get two for one after stealing a car in the parking lot of Fuddruckers on Fountain Lake Halloween night. Missouri City police say that a mans car was stolen while he was eating and the thieves found his car keys, house keys, garage door opener and the address of his Missouri City home inside.

The suspects went to his home in the 4100 block of King Cotton Lane, opened his garage door and got his Chrysler Town and Country van halfway out of the garage before they were scared off and left it. The victim thinks it may have been his large dog barking that caused the suspects to leave.

The suspects rummaged through the van, but didn’t take anything. They never went inside the home. Police say modern technology has made it easier for thieves to find the homes of their victims when stealing a car – some even use the GPS system, find “home” and the car takes them there.

It’s a shame we can’t boobytrap. I bet after a few of the little punks lost their hands the car burglaries & thefts would stop.
