The Fort Bend Independent School District Police Department is investigating missing money from a recent fundraiser for the Kempner High School Athletic Department.

According to the district, the case was filed by Kempner campus officer Vincent Simple, who is investigating the matter. FortBendNow.com has filed an open records request to obtain more details.

According to sources, the money was raised through a recent cookie dough fundraiser for the volleyball department. Sources say checks were turned in, but more than $1,000 in cash is unaccounted for.
