Gun-Wielding Robber Nets Three Dollars

A Dominos Pizza delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint this weekend after returning to the restaurant at 2435 Texas Parkway around 12:50 a.m. Sunday.

As the victim was walking towards the front door, a man walked out from behind a dumpster demanding money and pointing a gun at the employee. The victim gave him his money – $3 – and the suspect walked back behind the dumpster and “disappeared,” according to police reports.

The suspect is described as a black man in his mid-20’s, about 6 feet tall and weighing about 190 lbs. wearing a hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.

The suspect description is similar to a description given of a suspect involved in a Nov. 2 armed robbery and kidnapping. Around 9:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, a Missouri City resident pulled into the parking lot of the strip center to wait for his sister-in-law. While he was waiting he got bored, got out of his car and was checking a taillight. According to police, two men came up to him shouting obscenities and forced him into the backseat of his own car at gunpoint.

One of the suspects got in the backseat with the victim while the other drove the car to the intersection of Ruppstock and Pryor in the Briargate area of Houston, about a mile from where the victim lives. The suspects searched the victim for a wallet and property and after finding nothing told him to get out of the car and run.

According to police, the victim “immediately followed their directions,” ran home and called police.

The suspects were described as two clean-shaven black men. The first suspect was described as 6’3” and about 180-190 lbs. wearing dark clothing with a hooded sweater and carrying a large gun. The second suspect is described as 5’10” and 190-200 lbs. also wearing dark clothes with a hooded sweater.

The stolen car, a tan, 2005 Toyota Camry with 17-inch chrome wheels and a chrome exhaust tip and license plate number is NNF-316, has not been recovered. Police say they usually recover stolen vehicles within 78 hours.

Anyone with information about any of the suspects should call their local police department. Anyone who sees the stolen car should also call their local police department and not touch the vehicle.

  4. cult_of_one says:

Well, when you aren’t posting every once in awhile interested parties do participate, at least until you or megabite try to run them off. You really should stop.

  5. FtBendConservative says:

so why participate cult, what do you get out of it?

  6. cult_of_one says:

    Also read the studies.

  7. cult_of_one says:

See my #40, 48 & #60 and get a life ftbendconservative. Trolling these newsblogs everyday is not one.

  8. FtBendConservative says:

we know what a troll is…its you!!!!! hahaha

  9. MEGABITE says:

I’ve come to the conclusion you are incapable of knowing what is on topic and what’s not, COO.

    See facts below.

Defined In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response[1]

  11. FtBendConservative says:

supporting evidence? I asked for facts, go any?
    or just more conjecture?

  12. cult_of_one says:

Now what are you talking about megabite? Your going to claim discussing crime in a crime thread is off topic again? Do you need to read the story again. How much of a leap is it for you?

  13. cult_of_one says:

More delusions? Or are these visions? You need to get a grip on yourself ftbendconservative, really. Do you have anything else to add?

  14. MEGABITE says:

Why post it if you didn’t think it applied? Just a random thought? Yeah, right.

  15. FtBendConservative says:

I said support your comment with facts and you gave me a study. so now we’re dealing in trends?

well in that case it makes what Mayor Bill White said very credible.

  16. FtBendConservative says:

calvin the gaytroll stop you’re killing me….hahaha

  17. cult_of_one says:

Now you are going to try and claim I said supporting evidence is fact? It supports the trends and few if any criminologist anywhere do what you are doing. You really need to go find some studies that support what you are trying to say, which is complete conjecture.

  18. MEGABITE says:

“Things must be getting desperate as the unemployment rises here locally.”-COO

But of course this in no way infers the perps in this story were recently unemployed. NO WAYYY. I’ve never seen such
    crawfishing in my life. haha

  19. cult_of_one says:

Well you sure “called” yourself out alright. The definition fits you to a tee.

  20. FtBendConservative says:

““more likely to turn to crime” isn’t a fact. Sorry if that upsets you.

  21. MEGABITE says:

Calling out trolls? That’s what we’re doing on here.

  22. FtBendConservative says:

as my vet say “you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink”…but you can hold his head under water.

Mayor White probably has a closer handle on crime in this area than some prof in Ohio.

  23. MEGABITE says:

Taber- We’ve been here WAY before you showed up and we’ll be here WAY after you’re gone.

  24. cult_of_one says:

I don’t need anyone to defend me tabor, I’m full aware of what they are doing in here.

  25. MEGABITE says:

The first step is admitting it.

  26. b_tabor says:

This is what they do in here cult. They do it all the time. Many think they are trying to shut the site down, but I think they are just being themselves. LOL

  27. MEGABITE says:

Yes, like you did with your initial posting. Therefore, you are a troll.

  28. cult_of_one says:

Keep ignoring the supporting evidence and then let me know when you are finished raving and playing games.

Any newbie can see through your games.

but Mega it “could’ve” been true…..

  30. MEGABITE says:

He’s beaten that unemployment dead horse to a pulp, FBC. you can barely even tell what kind of animal it was.

  31. MEGABITE says:

Why don’t you wait for an article in FBN where the crime was committed by an recently out of work perpetrator to go off on one of your little tangents?

  32. FtBendConservative says:

from your study “- A new study provides some of the best evidence to date that low wages and unemployment make less-educated men more likely to turn to crime”

I’m going to help you stop making a fool of yourself, if you choose. In that sentarece is some key words. I’m going to point them out to you. “more likely to turn to crime” now that means it could happen and may happen but it does not make it a fact.

  33. cult_of_one says:

Someones opinion is not fact or even a supporting study, it is conjecture and because a politician says it almost means nothing. There are many articles about rising crime and unemployment as well as many studies. No amount of marketing disproves those studies that are widely accepted by the law enforcement community and experts. No ftbendconservative, the mayor is not an expert on criminology.

  34. FtBendConservative says:

and Mayor White said it was due to Katrina refugees, was what I posted several times. can you read?

  35. cult_of_one says:

Higher crime rate linked to low wages and unemployment, study finds

    - A new study provides some of the best evidence to date that low wages and unemployment make less-educated men more likely to turn to crime.
Researchers examined national crime rates between 1979 and 1997 and found much of the increase in crime during that period can be explained by falling wages and rising unemployment among men without college educations.

While politicians have focused on crime-fighting initiatives as central to controlling crime, this study shows that the impact of labor markets should not be overlooked, said Bruce Weinberg, co-author of the study and associate professor of economics at Ohio State University.

That was the one I posted, there were many, many others, but you’ve not posted anything supporting your opinion in several threads, why should that change now. No one owes you anything and you don’t get to make the rules either. Yes, I’m new, but not a newbie.

  36. cult_of_one says:

I see you missed the study that does support it, but no I didn’t miss anything you posted that wasn’t.

  37. MEGABITE says:

“You can stand me up at the gates of Hell, but I wonnn’t baacck dowwwn”

  38. FtBendConservative says:

no I didn’t, you however didn’t back your comment with facts. Now that’s been said a half dozen times. Maybe you have a reading comprehension problem.

  39. MEGABITE says:

    Thanks for that valuable insight.

  40. MEGABITE says:

Some people that are out of work turn to crime?? NO WAYYYY! WOW

  41. cult_of_one says:

You must have missed the articles and the study then ftbendconservative.

  42. MEGABITE says:

Taber- You’re supposed to be ignoring meeeeeeee. Remember?

  43. MEGABITE says:

Let’s discuss the pending execution of the sniper. He committed a CRIME.

  44. b_tabor says:

Back to name calling I see mega? Why nothing you do surprises me.

  45. MEGABITE says:

hahaha COO claiming someone is posting off topic! Now I’ve heard it all. HYPOCRITE OF THE DAY AWARD! Congrats!!

  46. MEGABITE says:

Crime rate in Timbuktu. It’s all about crime, right?

Did you get the response you were looking for? Still trying to claim that there is no relationship between rising unemployment and rising crime?

  48. MEGABITE says:

How about DUI, ot texting in a school zone? Pickpockets? All crimes and all ontopic according to COO COO.

  49. FtBendConservative says:

leave the rants at home with your group of tired comrades.
Try to back your statement with facts and we might surprise you. Most love a good debate. The same old tired rants….not so much.

  50. MEGABITE says:

Since this story is about crime, let’s talk about shoplifting, or loitering, or panhandling. Those are
    all crimes, right?
