Santa Claus and Children’s Memorial Hermann Sugar Land, the neonatal and pediatric service of Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital, are hosting Breakfast at First Colony Mall from 9-10 a.m. Nov. 21. The hour-long event will include time to visit with Santa, games, activities and appearances from some other famous friends, such as Topper, the Children’s Memorial Hermann mascot.
Admission to Santa’s Breakfast is the donation of an unwrapped toy, valued at $10 or more, to Fort Bend Toys for Tots or the donation of a $10 gift card from Payless ShoeSource for the Christmas Shoe project supported by Project Amore, an after-school tutoring program in Stafford.
Just before 9 a.m., Santa’s guests will gather in the Food Court at the shopping center and watch as Old St. Nick arrives not in his sleigh, but in an ambulance, escorted by the Children’s Transport Team from Children’s Memorial Hermann Sugar Land. Santa will join the party, and the Children’s Transport team will invite guests to come outside and tour the ambulance.
Once the party’s started, guests can enjoy breakfast refreshments, courtesy of Chick-Fil-A. Santa will get quickly to business listening to wishes, and parents may bring cameras to capture the moment.
Topper the Giraffe from Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital will be present and First Colony Mall is planning activities for the younger guests. Memorial Hermann Sugar Land will also give digital thermometers to adult guests.
At 10 a.m., Santa will have to say good-bye and he’ll invite everyone to parade with him to Rudolph’s Studio in the JCPenney courtyard where Santa will pose for photographs. Parents who forgot cameras at the breakfast are able to purchase commemorative photos, beginning at $17.
Children’s Memorial Hermann Sugar Land is inviting its team of Child Life Specialists to join Santa’s Breakfast and visit with parents, answering questions about children’s health-care issues. Memorial Hermann’s pediatric team members will stay after Santa’s gone to further talk with any interested parents.
Tickets for Santa’s Breakfast will be available beginning Nov. 17 in the Mall Management Office near the Food Court from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Each adult and each child must have a ticket, and only 200 guests can be accommodated for Santa’s Breakfast. If space is available, tickets will be available the morning of the breakfast with a donation of a toy or a $10 gift card from Payless ShoeSource.

Before moving to Texas we attended one of these at a city hospital. The kids get so excited.
