Sartartia Middle School Junior Historians hosted a patriotic assembly Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11. The assembly included speaker, Constable Troy Nehls, performances by the school’s band, choir and orchestra, and a dramatic reading by the Sartartia Junior Historian Club.

The halls of the entrance to the school were filled billboards to honor veterans – many who are family members of Sartartia students. The flag ceremony was performed by Rainbow Stars Service Unit Girl Scout troops.
“We at SMS want veterans to know that we deeply appreciate the sacrifices they have made in their lives to keep our country free,” said Jill Wolosonovich, social studies team lead teacher. “More importantly, we want to instill this spirit within our students.”
