A homeowner was shot late Wednesday after two men forced their way into his home demanding money.
Around 11:58 p.m. Dec. 9, Fort Bend County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 6900 block of Descartes Dr. in the Grand Mission at Parkway Lakes Subdivision. According to reports, two men armed with handguns rang the doorbell to a residence, and as soon as the homeowner answered the door, the suspects forced their way inside and demanded money. The victim struggled with the suspects and was shot in the upper torso area. The two suspects ran.
The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was treated and released.
Deputies are searching for the suspects. The first suspect described as a black man between 19- and 23-years-old, wearing a red jacket with a hood, a black bandanna over his face and gray sweatpants. The second suspect is described as a black man around the same age wearing a black jacket with his face covered.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers At 281-342-TIPS (8477). Information, which leads to the apprehension and filing of charges on the suspects involved, could earn the caller up to $5,000 cash reward. All calls to Crime Stoppers are anonymous.

You are absolutely right about bait cars and residents. My Indian neighbor could help the police with what “bait” looks like.
sugar land needs to have bait-cars and bait-residents ( undercover ) to nab a few of these repeaters.
ftbendresident, yeah I know it is possible that folks with no money are targeted but I maintain it is not probable. I think its mainly drug users/dealers that have been in a home or around a home that they decide to hit because they think its an easy target. In your case, do you think they were targeted due to their disability? I send you my sincere wish that the fingerprints come back a match and they pick these guys up. 5$ bucks says they are repeaters and they know a low life that lives around the corner.
What is so frightening is that these seem to be coming a very common occurrence in our area. I wish our officials could do something about it.
There was a recent report of a 911 call, of a homeowner in another state, that called in while one of these was going on. The emotion and fear expressed on the phone and regret, as she shot and killed the attacker, was truly heart felt. A tragedy all the way around. Luckily in her state she was protected by the law to defend her home and property, but you could still hear the anguish in her voice as she killed the white elderly gentleman as the 911 operator tried to console her that she had no other choice.
@ conservative 1:
Yes some people are targeted even if they dont have money. My parents whom are residents of Ft Bend county were targeted and my dad is disabled and has no money. These idiots pistol whipped him and fired a round off almost hitting him. They got away with $20. Hopefully they will be caught soon seein all the fingerprints collected.
Ch2 had more info last night. It looks like a family was targeted for some reason. The father instantly reacted when he saw the gun and subesquently was shot. Lucky guy. The robber appearantly ran away when he saw the teenager come out of his bedroom. There will be more to the story once the teen figures out who did it. Maybe the robber recognized him? This is a classic crime stoppers situation, anonymous tip needs to be given.
Are you sharing your own sick demented personal fantasies again or just projecting yourself on others again as usual?
And aren’t you off topic once again? LOL
it takes one sick puppy to use a pseudo, pretend to be a female and flirt with posters….
Now that’s an image, Rambo in a wheelchair.
All I have to say to the potential robber is be careful, the tables just might turned on them if they choose the wrong house. Way to many of my neighbors would go rambo on them.
I can’t believe we have so many of these going on in the area, but it does seem like this is the norm around Christmas time each year. It doesn’t make for a very gleeful holiday.
Yeah, I guess it came across that way patriot, tell us homeowners, what is the real deal, is this one of those driveway robberies turned home invasion? I have to doubt it. No marginalization intended. 75,000 households are interested.
Marginalizing a victim is sooo easy, and we do it because we want to make sure they were “asking for it” so that we can believe that it could never happen to our rightous selves.
Seems like their is more to the story. Who opens thier door at midnight? I am a neighbor and it seems like they have a son that is the around the ages of the suspects.
just out of curiosity is this a rent home? are the residents of the home known drug dealers?
Or is this truly random crime as it is reported?
I just don’t know…really? you mean to tell me that some hoodlums really just picked this home and banged on the door and demanded money. I am I the only guy in Fort Bend that doesn’t keep 2K on the counter? I don’t buy it, they knew this guy had money some way some how.
