Union Pacific will be working on rail lines in Fort Bend County and will begin work on sections of track that will require closures in the Rosenberg area throughout the next week.
Road Safe crews working on behalf of Union Pacific Railroad will place barricades and handle traffic control and detours at the closed crossings. Repairs are expected to take no more than one day per crossing.
Crossings in Rosenberg that will be affected include the 3rd Street crossing and the River Road crossing off of Old Richmond Road. Residents are encouraged to take precaution in these areas and to make alternate travel plans as necessary. Questions should be directed to City of Rosenberg Citizen Relations at 832-595-3301.
