Rosenberg Residents Recognized For Beautification Efforts

Rosenberg City Council recently recognized Rosenberg residents for their efforts to “enhance and beautify” the community.  The recognized residents and community groups have worked to beautify their properties through renovation and/or landscaping projects and improvements.

First United Methodist Church, 1106 4th Street, was honored for an Eagle Scout landscaping project completed by Andrew Walquist. Amanda Garza – 1211 7th Street, Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Hardegree – 1225 Damon Street, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel McLaughlin – 7703 Summer Shore Drive, Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Scott – 914 Klare Avenue, and Mr. and Mrs. Harris Watson – 2915 Talasek Street were presented awards on behalf of the Rosenberg Image Committee, by Mayor Gurecky and Mayor Pro Tem Dwayne Grigar, Image Committee chairman.

 

Properties are selected for the monthly beautification awards by the city’s Image Committee which works to “develop community pride by promoting activities to improve Rosenberg’s image and positively influence public perception,” according to city representatives.  Residents are encouraged to nominate fellow residents or local businesses by contacting the city at 832-595-3301. 

 

The Image Committee meets monthly at the Rosenberg Civic Center, 3825 Texas 36 South. Meeting schedules and agendas may be obtained by calling the City Secretary’s office at 832-595-3340.
