When HOA management pays $400,000.00 for a constable contract, the beholden constables will not serve justice; they will instead serve the HOA management that awards them their contract. This promotes HOA foreclosure bullying and it is only a matter of time before a victim of this abuse resorts to breaking the law in retaliation. The structure and collaboration of our HOAs, LIDS and MUDS were never designed for honesty or for the efficient service of the community. I gave the nod though to the two challengers because of their focus on budget issues and the fact that the district attorneys office was one of the few that expanded in this recession year as much as it did. I also sat next to a gentleman that was still upset with Healeys handling of the Holden roofing company case. I had to look that one up. The only differences I could see between the two challengers was that Schaefer appeared to want to take a softer approach on street level crime. One nice surprise is that the opened the forum up at the end for public comments. They also let us know that another forum is coming this Friday and will be mostly open ended.
